WBYJ originated as a complete Christian format radio station over night during Christmas on December 24th - 25th, 2004. We are governed by a distinguished board of directors with an overwhelming desire to present Jesus Christ to Alamance County and beyond.
Our call letters are an acrostic for We Bring You Jesus. We are a low-power FM Gospel Station at 97.9 fm. WBYJ is a 24 hour non-profit music intensive station reaching a 15 mile geographical radius including Alamance, parts of Guilford, Orange, Chatham, and Rockingham counties and possibly more. Per Arbitron Calculations our average audience consists of 13,000 listeners per a five hour period, and we have the potential to reach most of the nearly 400 churches located in Alamance County.

Our music format consists of a mixed variety of Mild Contemporary, Southern Gospel, Praise and Worship, Traditional Hymns, and Light blue grass resulting in a strong demographic age range of listeners in ther thirties to sixites and older. We provide low cost, high quality promotion to churches, businesses and organizations that share the desire to partner with us in order to maintain this vision of "Bringing Jesus" to our vast audience through quality, high-standard, Kingdom- building programming.
